Franklin's Tower
E: Terrapin Suite

Lesh and Weir played beautifully . The back up band did their job . It's about as good as this band gets .

BOB WEIR REPORT - He looked like hell . I have never seen him look so bad . Maybe he had some bad seafood or the detergent for his new pants is causing an allergic reaction . I don't know . I do hope he feels better soon . Regardless , he played for 3 1/2 hours , and gave it his all , and kicked a little ass . ( Scarlet had some '74 Weir chords ) . He was playing from the whole book .

Bass Great , Lesh Philling . I love to see him smile .

No trainwrecks . One blown verse , BW , RORose

Is Weir the most recorded person in history ? JG ? Who ?

The Scene
The promoters of this event do a good job . The concert area is grassy , with vending on the perimeter . We landed all the way stage left . The Sound ( a body of water ) was also on our left . The trees were lit with lights . At 70' and a 3/4 full moon it was a beautiful evening . Santa Claus , Uncle Sam , and Father Time among others were bopping away . We began in back of the SBD , but it was too crowded . I did return during the break , but no IA folk . It was crazy drunk in back of the SBD . Puke City . If you were there , I tried .

O.K. - now a little venting . Hey you , silly young person , don't smoke a cig , and jump in with the twirlers . Thanks for burning Deb . Don't worry , she will heal . Don't smoke and dance . WTF ? To all you folks on your tenth beer , go buy 4 more , the show is only on Franklin's . I have never seen so many drunk , really drunk , people in my life . Being around drunk people sucks . This last one is becoming a little funny . I'm dancing away and this dwarf w/ a cane hits me in the balls as I am dancing by . End of song I go over to have a discussion . ( I don't get that turn the other cheek stuff . ) Best I could get out of the fool was that he was ' sort of ' sorry . I thought about it , but passed . " Man assaults crippled Drunk dwarf at Futhur . " After the show we watched a glassblower make a huge , curvy bong . Cool , fire .

Thanks for the analysis...unfortunately, I think you took the words right of SDH's mouth vis-a-vis "drunks", though in this case, it was BD. But, he promised to never have another drink if you sell him a portion of your liver (it will grow back, I assure you).

Thanks for the analysis We all miss the reluctant lead (Mr. JERRY Garcia), including the Furthurers I'm sure. I still miss Brent too. I _love_ Jeff's keys-back up? OK, if you think so, but to me, this isn't Chuck Berry or the TWhO - Furthur is a very coherent whole IMvvHO.

watched that glassblower for a minute too, before I just had to get in line for a lemonade -- nice just missing you like that.
